IMPROVE – TOOLKIT FOR ASSESSMENT OF COMPETENCES FOR VOLUNTEERS
Toolkit is containing instruments that can be used by organizations working with volunteers and willing to support them in their learning process. Some of the instruments are created by the partnership, like the tools in the Diagnostic Phase (“Questionnaire for self-diagnosis”, „Assessment centre” and “Interview”) and in the Action plan phase (“Learning plan tool”).
Other tools described in the Toolkit are existing instruments and methodologies used and shared by the IMPROVE partners.
the main objective of the Toolkit is to offer instruments to facilitators (managers of volunteers, group leaders) in order to accompany volunteers before, during and after their volunteering experience, by defining and describing together the skills and competences (to be) acquired, during a pathway. This will encourgege the volunteer to analyze his/her attitudes, motivation
and finally define his/her personal and professional learning objectives.

The idea of the creation of a Competences assessment Toolkit for a Volunteering was born during the elaboration of a GRUNDTVIG partnership building project called ‘IMPROVE - IMPact Of VoluntEering on personal and professional Growth’ (finnced by Grundvig programme).
